Re: Hurricane Dorian
This past week, the northern islands of the Bahamas were severely impacted by Hurricane Dorian. This hurricane wreaked havoc on Grand Bahama, leaving the island in a state of devastation.
Taino Beach Resort would like to inform its members and RCI guests that the resort has been closed from August 30th, 2019 and will remain closed until further notice as a result of the storm.
In addition, the Flamingo Bay Hotel has sustained damages as a result of Hurricane Dorian and will remain closed until further notice.
There is no electricity and water in most areas of the island however absolutely no electricity at the resort and many of the everyday necessities are unavailable and would not be available for weeks.
While we appreciate your enthusiasm to return to the island, please note that we are in no position to provide you with the kind of vacation you want or deserve.
Therefore, we are asking for your cooperation during this time as we assess the damages in order to begin the restoration process.
Those persons with reservations from August 29 thru October 10, 2019, are advised to re-schedule your dates by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
For monetary donations, our long time member Connie Jarret has started a GoFundMe page for Taino staff,
